LED visuals for a performance by a Korean traditional music ensemble. Following the flow of the music, masks, landscapes, flowers, and colored smoke appear in turn, and a screen spreading from ink to color unfolds behind the musicians.

01 Planning
A story of shedding the mask and taking flight
We planned for masks, landscapes, flowers, and colored smoke to appear in turn with the flow of the ensemble's music. The order of scenes was set by connecting pieces and image keywords in a Milanote mind map.

02 Design
A single LED wall filling the back of the stage
An LED display was set up at the back of the indoor stage, with its size and position decided by the placement of the musicians and the sightlines. It was arranged so that the house lighting and screen brightness do not clash.

03 Production
A screen spreading from ink to color
From ink-wash landscapes and swirling patterns to red flower fields, mask characters, and colored smoke, we produced visuals with a different texture for each piece. The speed of the screen was varied to match the timbre of the gayageum and haegeum.

04 Operations
Landscapes unfolding behind the musicians
During the performance, the operator ran the screen from beside the stage, following the progress of each piece. The audience met scenes of landscapes and flowers spreading behind the gayageum player, together with the music.
