The "2" in the title means both "two" and "different." The exhibition presents two opposing futures, like light and darkness, and through the two works "Breath" and "Wave" asks how our actions now determine which one arrives.

01 Planning
Two waves, two futures
The "2" in the title means both "two" and "different." We presented two opposing futures, like light and darkness, and explored through Breath and Wave the question of how present actions set their direction.

02 Design
Stepped seating, wall, and floor
Breath was placed on the stepped seating of KB Cheongchun Maru, and Wave in the space where wall meets floor. The two works were positioned so that light lies along the paths where visitors sit and walk.

03 Production
The light of breath and oil slicks
Breath was made so that rows of lights on the steps brighten and dim like breathing; Wave was made to cover the wall and floor in the spreading colors of an oil slick from marine pollution.
04 Operations
Waves reaching the visitors' feet
During the exhibition, visitors sat on the steps watching the breathing light, or walked across the floor to meet waves spreading at their feet. Children sat and lingered inside the waves.
