Lightchaser took part in the Atelier Nodeul media facade project in 3D scanning, guide drawing production, and design cooperation. By measuring the site precisely with LiDAR sensors, we built the technical foundation that lets participating artists use the structural features of the bricks, the front wall, and the floor.
Technical Support: Lightchaser Participating Artists: Seo Hyo-jung, Yang Minha, Jung Yoon-su, Donghaeng & Maeryeok

01 Planning
Preparing to read a building as a place
We read the stone retaining wall beneath the bridge on Nodeul Island not as a mere projection surface but as a place with its own narrative. Our role was to provide the technical basis for participating artists to use the features of the bricks and floor.

02 Design
The grain of the stonework, measured by LiDAR
We scanned the retaining wall and floor with LiDAR, removed unnecessary mesh, and built a 3D model separating bricks, floor, and structure. A layout of six 50,000 ANSI lumen-class projectors (four front, two floor) was designed.

03 Production
Guide files for the artists
We created guide files setting out the resolutions of the front and floor and the layers for brick, floor, and structural elements, and delivered them to the artists producing content. The artists made their works based on these files.

04 Operations
Works unfolding across the stonework
In the opening exhibition (Nov 28, 2025 – Feb 28, 2026), works by artists including Seo Hyo-jung, Yang Minha, and Jung Yoon-su unfolded along the brickwork and floor structure, filling the space beneath the bridge.
