An immersive meditation media art performance that tells, in five scenes, the story of Avalokiteshvara answering the call of all beings and sharing jeweled beads. The long corridor of the headquarters lobby became a meditative space where a front screen, floor LEDs, sound, and dance come together.

01 Planning
Five scenes linked by jeweled beads
The story of Avalokiteshvara answering the call of all beings and sharing jeweled beads was divided into five scenes of light: Opening, Purification, Abyss, Liberation, and Resonance. We researched the Water-Moon Avalokiteshvara paintings and iconography to set the colors of each scene.

02 Design
A corridor between columns as a space for meditation
We measured the long corridor and column structure of the lobby and set out the seating, floor LED bars, displays, and sound positions in a layout drawing. The spacing of about 380 m of LED bars was confirmed through testing.

03 Production
Shaping a golden bodhisattva
The Avalokiteshvara character was generated with AI and split into green-screen, rim-light, and silhouette versions used as sources for each scene. Scenes of glowing beads were produced to the sound cues of the gong and moktak.

04 Operations
An audience resting on a path of light
At the performance, the audience sat on cushions along both sides of the corridor and watched the front screen and floor LEDs change through blue starlight, green mist, a red sun, and a violet Avalokiteshvara. The dancers carried the scenes forward on that path of light.
