This work brings artist Choi Sooin's world, "tension between uncomfortable beings" and "the flow of emotion," onto the screens of the city. Following the journey of a whale, the whale, rocks, trees, and clouds connect into one narrative across the anamorphic facade of Shinsegae, a vertical billboard, and multiple displays at KIAF.

01 Planning
A whale's journey on the city's screens
We carried artist Choi Sooin's world, the tension between uncomfortable beings and the flow of emotion, to the Shinsegae facade, the Chosun Ilbo billboard, and a KIAF booth. We wrote a storyboard in which whale, rock, tree, and cloud flow together.

02 Design
Viewpoints for curved and vertical screens
We designed an anamorphic viewpoint model for the curved LED on the Shinsegae facade, a 2304×6264px guide for the vertical billboard on Sejong-ro, and a multi-display layout for KIAF.

03 Production
A whale shaped out of clouds
After modeling the whale and clouds in 3D, we produced them separately as anamorphic renders for the Shinsegae facade and mosaic-style multi-screen sources for KIAF. The composition was varied to suit the viewing position of each screen.

04 Operations
A whale rising in the middle of the city
On the facade of Shinsegae's main store the whale rose as if about to leave the screen, and at the KIAF booth it swam across multiple displays. The city and the exhibition hall were joined by the same story.
