Lightchaser recomposed artist Choi Sooin's world, "tension between uncomfortable beings" and "the flow of emotion," as a media facade on the architecture of Atelier Gwanghwa. Whale, rock, tree, and cloud respond to the brick texture and window structure, portraying how different beings reach harmony while keeping their independence.

01 Planning
A whale's story told by bricks and windows
Following the journey of artist Choi Sooin's whale, we portrayed how different beings share emotion and reach harmony on a single building. Bricks, windows, and layers were assigned as the themes of each part.

02 Design
The grain of the building, read by scanning
The facade was scanned with stripe projection to create a 3D model, and a content guide separating bricks, windows, and structure was designed. The projection cones of four 50,000 ANSI lumen projectors were simulated.

03 Production
Five parts and sound
We produced video and sound in five parts: a whale flowing through the gaps between bricks, clouds moving between the windows and the side wall, and scenes using layers and shadows. The whale and clouds were developed into 3D sources.
04 Operations
A whale afloat beside Sejong-daero
On site, multiple projectors were aligned with a red grid, and then color and brightness were adjusted. At night the entire building became a sea, and the audience in the plaza looked up at the whale's journey.
